Seven days from now all the hustle and bustle and stress will come to a halt. We will have our big meals in the oven and all the gift buying will be done. Anything that did not get done, it’ll be too late and the festivities still go on. Many will travel to the homes of family and friends and no matter how we feel, we will have a smile plastered to our faces. Others of us will stay at our own homes with the company of only immediate family. Then others, for whatever the reason may be, will spend the day alone like it was any other day.
Seven days from now, we will be filled with love, joy, happiness, content, disappointment, sadness, and loneliness.
And eight days from now, we all go back to normal. We start taking down the decorations, we warm up leftovers, we find that one gift we forgot we hid in the back of the closet. We go back to work and restart our everyday routines.
Another year is almost in the past, a new year is immediately in our future, and what will we do with it?
Me, I am going to delve deep into the practice of holistic and alternative health and pull out all the stops. I am going to combine my knowledge of mind, body, and spirit practices to strengthen my well-being. I am going to continue to reduce outside drama and negative energy. I am going to be a positive force, moving forward with every action. It will be a daily challenge and I will face it head on every day.
For some the next seven days will be ‘crunch time.’ For me, it is the start of a new day.
Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas. Today is a new day to smile.
